Job vacancies remain visible on the website until the deadline for application has passed. All applications that are submitted by 23:59:59 on the deadline for applications will be considered.

Job vacancies in the public sector must be published for a period of 14 days. Applicants may only be invited to an interview once this deadline has passed.

The relevant point of contact is stated in the job description in the call for applications. If no point of contact is mentioned or if you are submitting an unsolicited application, you can address your application “To whom it may concern”.

Yes. You must submit your application documents separately for each vacancy you apply for. Please note the deadline stated in the call for applications.

As the requirements differ greatly depending on the position, we would ask you to check the call for applications for the details of specific requirements and qualifications. The following may act as a guide. Check the text of the call for applications carefully and ask yourself the following questions:

• Which qualifications are required? Do I have them?

• What do I particularly like about this position? Why am I applying for this job?

• How can I demonstrate convincingly that I am the right person for this job?

Read through your application carefully one more time and check if it is complete and accurate, with no spelling mistakes and addressed to the correct person.

Please send us your application online via the FAU-application portal. You can enter your data in the form and upload your application documents. You can also send applications by email if this is explicitly stated. Please note that email applications can only be accepted in these cases due to data protection regulations.

Please refer to the specific call for applications to check which specific documents should be included in your application as proof of your qualifications and skills. These documents are usually as follows:

• Cover letter: Please state the name of the vacancy, the location and your earliest possible starting date. If it is mentioned in the job advert, please also state how mobile you are.
• CV
• Certificates: school certificates, internship certificates, job references etc. (you do not necessarily have to include a current job reference)
• Other certificates: if applicable, include certificates about IT skills, language certificates etc.

If documents are missing, our colleagues from the department human resources (Unit P4) will get in touch with you and ask for them.

You will receive confirmation of receipt from us after sending us your application documents. We make an effort to view and process all applications as quickly as possible. However, the processing time can vary depending on the time and number of applications. If the procedure takes longer than expected, we will be in touch to let you know what stage your application is currently at. We would like to thank you in advance for your patience.
